250 grams paneer (cottage cheese)
300 grams finely chopped onion
Tomato puree
Refined oil as needed
Salt to taste
Half a teaspoon of turmeric
Garam masala powder
Red chili powder
5 small uncooked flour rotis
Ginger, garlic paste
Cumin seeds
Coriander leaves
Recipe
- First, grate the paneer. Then, add refined oil and cumin seeds to a pan. When the cumin seeds begin to crackle, add the grated paneer and salt and fry.
- Then, mix in turmeric and garam masala powder as needed. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes and then remove from the heat.
- Now, make small flour rotis, place the paneer masala on them, roll them into rolls, and deep-fry them in hot oil.
- Now, to make the gravy, heat refined oil in a pan. Then, add bay leaves, cumin seeds, and garlic paste and fry them well.
- When it is completely fried, add finely chopped onions and fry them. Once the onions are fried well, add tomato puree.
- After that, add curd and cook on a low flame for 5 minutes. Add salt, garam masala, and red chili powder. Add a little milk and keep stirring.
- When it starts boiling, add water and cook. When the gravy is cooked well and thickens, add deep-fried paneer pockets and cook for 5 minutes.
- Paneer Patiala is ready. Serve it hot with naan or tandoori roti.
