M4 traffic LIVE: Chaos on major motorway as burning HGV forces lanes to shut

A vehicle fire prompted chaos on the M4 on Thursday. Two lanes on the M4 westbound entry slip at junction 6 were shut down this afternoon following an incident.
The closure prompted delays, with normal traffic conditions not expected before 7pm, National Highways said. The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were responding to a fire in the area in a message on X.
