The Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India describes “Ganesh Hasta Mudra” inspired by Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, as a simple and multi-benefit mudra that balances the mind and body. This small hand gesture removes mental blocks and increases self-confidence and internal power rapidly. Doing this for a few minutes daily removes stress, anxiety and negativity and spreads positive energy.

Ganesha Mudra activates the heart chakra (Anahata Chakra), leading to increased emotional stability, courage and enthusiasm. This mudra is especially beneficial for those who feel hesitation, lack of confidence or mental block in taking decisions.

Along with enumerating the benefits of doing Ganesh Hasta Mudra, experts also explain its correct method. For this, sit straight in a quiet place, keep the spine and neck straight. Then bring both hands in front of the chest. Close the fist of the left hand, thumb facing outside and place the right hand on top of the left hand and make a fist in the same way, thumb facing outside. Now hold both the fists firmly together, the elbows should be as high as the shoulders. After forming the posture, take a deep breath and while exhaling, gently pull both the hands in the opposite direction. Stay in this position for 10 to 20 seconds, then loosen the hands. Repeat this 5-9 times.

Men and women of any age can do this mudra. Practicing Ganesh Mudra provides many benefits. Mental blockages and negative thoughts are removed. Confidence and courage increases.
