The International Cricket Council (ICC), representing the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), has brought forward three charges against Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy, a cricketer from the USA. These allegations stem from the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 2025 tournament taking place in the United Arab Emirates. The ICC, acting as the Designated Anti-Corruption Official (DACO) for this event, has made these charges public as per their official website.
Specific Allegations
1. **Article 2.1.1** - Attempting to manipulate or improperly influence the outcome, progress, conduct, or any other aspect of matches in the ADT10 2025.
2. **Article 2.1.4** - Soliciting or attempting to persuade another participant to breach Article 2.1.1 during one or more matches in the ADT10 2025.
3. **Article 2.4.7** - Hindering the DACO's investigation by deleting potentially relevant data and messages from a mobile device.
Immediate Suspension and Future Actions
In light of these charges, Reddy has been provisionally suspended from all cricket activities effective immediately. He has a period of 14 days from November 21, 2025, to respond to these allegations.
The ICC has stated that no further comments will be made until the disciplinary proceedings are completed.
At just 25 years old, Reddy made his international debut earlier this year, having played four T20Is for the USA during the North America T20 Cup. He is now required to address the charges within the stipulated timeframe.
