Meghan Markle's Harper's Bazaar interview has prompted a lot of backlash, particularly after it emerged that she is announced as the Duchess of Sussex when there were only two people in the room. The revelation baffled commentators and the public alike, and US TV star and podcaster Megyn Kelly has since ripped into Markle on her show.

She welcomed Link Lauren on to discuss the topic and in one clip Megyn explodes on a rant about Meghan believing she's "too famous" to stay in hotels in New York. She fumed: "Oh because she's too famous to walk through a lobby, like every other actual celebrity in the world who stays in hotels just fine, like Taylor Swift, with no problem. Especially in a city like New York, that is very used to A-listers, which she is not."

Megyn then quotes the interview which referenced Meghan's formal title being used despite being the only people in the house as she and Link laughed prompting her to say: "She appears to have people yell this about her wherever she goes, even if there's no one else in the home!"

Link mocked her and said: "The Duchess of Sussex? Who is that? Who is she? We don't have titles here." He added: "I've never seen someone dine out so hard on their title, Meghan is clinging hard to this Duchess title.

"She was in the Royal Family for 18 months, I have stuff that has been in my freezer for 18 years!" Link joked: "She spent five hours in Sussex!"

Meghan has been mocked by far more than just the two US podcast hosts because one person who couldn't stop laughing over the news that she's formally announced in front of a small number of people was none other than Piers Morgan.

He shared a link on his social media that said she is announced when walking into a room and paired it with nothing but nine laughing out loud emojis.

The wife if Prince Harry has also now been dubbed the "Duchess of Duds" by a royal commentator after the recent interview; she was also referred to as a "Hollywood has-been with overhyped and underwhelming projects".

Meghan has had multiple projects emerge since she and Harry left the Royal Family in 2020, including their Netflix docu-series and her own shows, With Love, Meghan, and her festive version, With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration; though they're so far failing to win over the public.
