The Rajasthan government has announced that it will offer selected farmers who utilize bullocks for farming an annual financial assistance of ₹30,000. So far, over 42,000 applications have been received for this initiative, as reported by officials on Friday.

According to officials, this program aims to promote traditional and organic farming methods while also supporting the conservation of cattle and providing economic stability to farmers.

The agriculture department is currently compiling a database of farmers, which will be used to identify those eligible for the incentive. The statement indicated that the majority of applications have come from Dungarpur, Banswara, and Udaipur. The online application process is ongoing through the Raj Kisan Sathi portal.

The Rajasthan government plans to distribute ₹30,000 annually to farmers who engage in farming with the help of bullocks. This initiative has been launched in response to the rapid decline in the number of bullocks. It is expected that this move will encourage more individuals to raise bullocks, with owners of a pair of bullocks also set to receive the annual amount.

Only a limited number of farmers in Rajasthan will be able to take advantage of this government scheme. To apply, farmers must visit their nearest e-Mitra center. They can also submit their applications through the Raj Kisan Sathi portal. After applying, the kiosk operator will process the application.

For additional context, under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, the government provides ₹6,000 annually to farmers. This amount is disbursed in three installments of ₹2,000 each, with a gap of four months between each installment. So far, 19 installments of ₹2,000 have been released, and farmers are eagerly awaiting the next installment.
