The International Cricket Council has suspended cricketer Akhilesh Reddy for three breaches of its anti-corruption code. These charges relate to the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 2025 tournament in the UAE.

India and Sri Lanka will jointly host the 2026 T20 World Cup next year, with the United States cricket team also participating. Things haven't been going well for the US team lately, and in the meantime, the ICC has suspended player Akhilesh Reddy. The 25-year-old off-spinner has been banned from playing with immediate effect.
The ICC said in its statement, "The International Cricket Council, on behalf of the Emirates Cricket Board, has charged American cricketer Akhilesh Reddy with three breaches of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code. These charges relate to the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 2025 tournament in the United Arab Emirates. As the Designated Anti-Corruption Official (DACO) for the event, the ICC has made these charges on behalf of the Emirates Cricket Board."
These are the allegations.Article 2.1.1 – Attempting to influence, or being part of any agreement or attempt to influence, or attempting to influence, the result, progress, conduct, or any other aspect of matches at the Abu Dhabi T10 2025.
Article 2.1.4 – Persuading, inciting, tempting, instructing, persuading, encouraging, or knowingly assisting (or attempting to do so) another player to breach Article 2.1.1 during one or more matches at the Abu Dhabi T10 2025.
Article 2.4.7 – Obstructing DACO investigations by deleting data and messages from mobile devices that may be relevant to the investigation.
The ICC further said in its statement, "Akhilesh Reddy has been immediately suspended from all cricket for a period of time and has 14 days from 21 November 2025 to respond to the allegations. The ICC will not make any further comment until the disciplinary process is completed."
Akhilesh Reddy has played 4 international matches.25-year-old Akhilesh Reddy has played four international T20 matches for the United States cricket team, but he failed to make much of an impact. He took just one wicket in those four T20 matches.
