Influencer Emilie Kiser opened up about her devastating loss after her three-year-old son fatally drowned in their family swimming pool.

Emilie, 26, posted on social media pleading with parents to listen to her important advice after the devastating accident broke her family. Her son Trigg died after he wasleft unsupervised in his family's garden in Arizona, US, leading to him falling into the pool and becoming unconscious.

Despite being rushed to hospital, he died on May 18, 2025. Emilie, who has built a following of 5.1million on TikTok, went silent for months while grieving the tragic loss of her oldest son. She began posting again in September, and recently spoke of her grief on the six month anniversary of his death.

On November 12, exactly six months after her son's death, the grieving mother posted a plea to her two million followers on Instagram.

Emilie recalled the "worst moments of [her] entire life" in the lengthy post. "I miss him with every fiber of my being," she began. "Every ounce of me yearns to hold him again, hug him again, tell him how special he is, and how much I love him."

She then issues a stark warning for other parents. "If I can share some things that I know could save families from the pain of losing a child to a preventable accident, such as drowning, it would be.

"Please watch your children at all times. No amount of supervision is too much or 'helicopter parenting'" she wrote as her first piece of advice. Please get a pool fence... Better yet, add a fence around other barriers. Add pool alarms, extra locks, and automatic closers to your doors."

She then advises parents to sign their children up to swimming lessons as soon as they are able to. The influencer had previously shared that Trigg had been having regular swimming lessons, and the family had installed a safety net. It's not clear whether the family had a pool fence, with fans speculating they did not for months.

Drowning is the leading cause of death for one to four-year-olds in the United States, according to the National Drowning Prevention Alliance. Children can drown in less than 30 seconds, and the majority of drownings happen even with an adult around.

In the US, around 70 percent of childhood drownings happen during non-swim times. "I know statistically Trigg's drowning won't be the last, and more have happened since," Emilie ended her post. "I miss him daily," she continued. "I love him forever, and I hope I can spread even an ounce of the joy he gifted to us and everyone he crossed paths with each day."

Her husband, Brady Kiser, who was home at the time of the drowning, has not returned to social media since. He was cleared of charges earlier this year after it emerged he had left Trigg unsupervised in the garden while tending to the couple's newborn son, Teddy.
