Grap III Rule: The Air Quality Index (AQI) in the capital Delhi continues to remain at dangerous levels. After AQI crossed 400 in many areas, the government has implemented Grape-III protocol. Due to this, special monitoring has started on old and more polluting vehicles in the city. Meanwhile, a video is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which it is claimed that a challan of Rs 20,000 has been issued to the owner of a 10 year old petrol car.

The viral video shows that the car is a 10-year-old model, but all its documents—like RC, insurance, fitness and tax—are said to be valid till 2031. Despite this, as soon as they entered the Delhi border, the police handed over a challan of Rs 20,000. The person making the video claims that he was not aware that after the implementation of Grape-III, petrol cars older than 10 years are not allowed to enter Delhi.
