These tags will only be visible in the group in which they were set. They will not be transferred to other chats or groups. Furthermore, tags will be preserved even if you reinstall WhatsApp or purchase a new phone.
When will this feature be available?
Currently, this feature is only available to WhatsApp beta users. The company is expected to roll it out to the stable version soon.
How to add a group tag to WhatsApp?
Using this new feature is very easy. Once the feature is available in your WhatsApp, you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Open WhatsApp and go to the group.
Step 2: Go to the Group Info screen and select your name from the list of members.
