Salman Khan’s film and Kareena Kapoor’s item number—expectations were very high. Farah Khan was choreographing this song and the responsibility of designing Kareena’s clothes was on famous fashion designer Manish Malhotra. Farah Khan is known for her outspokenness and perfection in her work. She wanted Kareena’s look in the song to be completely ‘desi’ and ‘rusty’ (village feel), because the song itself was like that. When Farah did not like Manish’s dress. Farah Khan tells that when Manish Malhotra sent Kareena’s costume (dress) before the shooting, Farah’s temper went up. As per his habit, Manish had sent a very ‘modern’, ‘fashionable’ and ‘hi-fi’ choli-ghaghra for Kareena. As soon as Farah saw the dress, she said – “What is this? It looks very rich. I want a domineering feel, not this cocktail party dress.” Farah boldly rejected those clothes and scolded Manish. Manish Malhotra got angry (Why Manish got angry?)
