Some media reports in Afghanistan claimed on Wednesday morning that Imran Khan has been murdered inside Adiala Jail. After this claim, chaos, protests, and anger against the government on social media have increased rapidly in Pakistan. The government is saying that “it is just a rumour”, but the supporters have a question – “If he is alive and safe then why is no one being allowed to meet him?”

Thousands of supporters protest outside the jail

According to reports, thousands of PTI supporters have reached outside Rawalpindi jail and are demanding information about Imran Khan’s health, video evidence, or permission to meet him. At the same time, heavy security forces have been deployed outside the jail to prevent any possible violence. Sisters were not allowed to meet, police dragged them – “Action in the dark” Imran Khan’s sisters – Aalima Khan, Dr. Uzma and Noreen Niazi staged a protest at the Factory Naka near the jail. But they were not allowed to proceed further.

In her complaint written to Punjab Police Chief Usman Anwar, Noreen Niazi said, “I am 71 years old, but the policemen dragged me on the road by holding my hair.” “Streetlights were suddenly switched off so that police action could be taken in the dark.” They allege that the family has not been allowed to meet Imran Khan for more than a year. The last meeting was on 30 October 2024. After this, neither any supporter nor any party leader has been allowed to meet him, due to which the questions regarding the health and condition of Imran Khan have become more intense.
