Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition: Mahindra Some people at the company didn’t think the standard BE 6 was good enough for what was already a very futuristic and sporty looking SUV. They wanted to make it better. So they brought together members of Mahindra’s Formula E team and decided to come up with something special. The result is – Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition. This version of the BE 6 is even sportier and more powerful than the standard model. The basic look of the BE 6 is so aggressive and futuristic that the ‘Formula E’ badging attached to it is totally justified.

Small but important design changes

The company has made small but essential design changes, giving this edition a distinct identity:

• Front Look: It lacks the C-shaped LED DRLs of the standard model. Instead, there is a sleek DRL around the edges and a round projector headlamp unit below. This look is very ‘sinister’ and powerful.
• bumper: The new bumper reinforces the aggressive look. The exposed screws on the sides and the thick skid plate in the middle give the car a more rugged and muscular appeal.
• Side and Back: The side profile features race-inspired graphics with 20-inch wheels. The rear looks a little softer than the standard version, but there is another spoiler on the boot lid and the sport roof spoiler remains.
• Animation: A custom start-up animation is provided for the lights, inspired by Formula-E.

This edition feels more rally-inspired than a ‘Formula-E’ race car.

The BE 6 Formula E Edition is available in 4 color options:

Cockpit experience

The standard cabin of the Mahindra BE 6 feels like sitting in the cockpit of a race car. The difference between the driver and passenger, the jet-like gear lever and other features that give a racing feel add to the feeling.

Changes in Formula E Edition:

• Interior Accents: Orange inserts and accents throughout the cabin are as bold as the car’s design.
• Seats: The seats feature an exclusive ‘BE 6 Formula E’ imprint, dual-tone finish and orange stitching. The seat belts also feature Formula E branding.
• Show-piece: A bright plaque with the FIA ​​(Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) logo on one side and ‘BE 6 Formula E Edition’ on the other catches the eye.
• Start/Stop Button: Push button start/stop has an attractive and sturdy cover, which can be opened to use the button.
• Other Features: Carbon fiber finish panels on the dashboard (though not present) and transparent door panels give the cabin a unique look. The sunroof also has a special design (Vertical Stripes).

Powertrain and range

The Mahindra BE 6 is available with two battery packs: 59kWh and 79kWh.

• In this Formula E edition, the company has provided a bigger 79kWh battery, so as to get more range and better performance.

Booking and Delivery (Special Discounts)

Bookings for the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition will start from January 14, 2026 and deliveries will start from Valentine’s Day 2026. The first 999 customers of this edition will get some special benefits:

• Your name will be listed on Mahindra’s Formula E cars and at their racing headquarters.
• You will get a special Mahindra Racing collector’s box.
• You will get a unique driving experience on the track with Alpine Formula-1 reserve driver Kush Maini.

This SUV does not compete directly with anyone in the market right now. But it can be a stylish and attractive alternative to family-oriented electric SUVs like VinFast VF6, Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV and MG ZS EV.
