New Delhi: Crime Branch of the Delhi Police has organised a high-level training programme for more than 350 officers on various national and internal digital policing platforms, an official said on Sunday.

The session, held on Saturday at the Adarsh Auditorium in the Delhi Police Headquarters, was conducted under the supervision of Delhi Police Chief Satish Golchha.

“A total of 310 inspectors and 41 ACPs from multiple units of the force participated. The initiative aims to strengthen the police force’s technological capabilities by equipping officers with hands-on skills in the use of digital tools critical for investigation, surveillance and data-driven policing,” a statement of the Delhi Police read.

During the programme, officers were trained in platforms such as Crime Kundli, the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS), the National Automated Fingerprint Identification System (NAFIS), the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR), the National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID), the MANAS portal, the Pragati Dashboard and many other applications, it read.

These platforms collectively support real-time crime monitoring, fingerprint analysis, mobile device tracking, intelligence sharing and performance auditing.

A senior police officer said the training reflects the force’s “proactive shift toward smarter and faster policing,” adding that the use of technology is becoming central to tackling complex, inter-state and cyber-enabled crimes.

Many senior police officers were also present during the session.
