Srinagar: In a major development linked to the ongoing investigation into the Delhi Red Fort blast case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out multiple raids across South Kashmir on Monday. The crackdown is part of an intensified probe into the alleged white-collar terror module suspected to be involved in facilitating or planning the attack.
Sources said one of the key raids was conducted at the residence of Molvi Irfan in the Shopian district. Irfan is being identified as a mastermind behind the emerging white-collar terror module, believed to be operating from within educated and professional circles in Kashmir.
NIA teams simultaneously raided several other locations in Pulwama district, including Koil, Chandgam, Malagpora, and Sambora. The coordinated search operations were supported by local police and paramilitary forces, with checkpoints and tight security arrangements enforced around the raid sites.
In a separate but operation, NIA officials along with SHO Qazigund raided the residence of Jasir Bilal Wani son of Late Bilal Ahmad Wani, a resident of Wanpora Qazigund. The search was conducted under RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI, part of the broader case registered following the Delhi blast. Officials confirmed that searches were being conducted at eight locations in total as part of the day’s operations.
