SIR Form Status Check: Now you can find out instantly from home whether your SIR form has been submitted. The status is displayed within minutes on this Election Commission portal.
SIR Form Status Check: The Special Intensive Revision process underway in nine states and three union territories has confused many voters. Some people don't know how to submit the form, and in many places, BLOs aren't arriving on time. This leaves people wondering whether their SIR form has been submitted.
The good news is that the Election Commission has launched a simple online system to eliminate this confusion. Now, any voter can check from home in just a few clicks whether their form has been uploaded or is still pending. Learn the process.
Why is it important to check the SIR form status?
SIR, or Special Intensive Revision, is the most crucial process for updating the voter list. This process involves correcting old data, adding new voters, and removing incorrect information. Many people submit the form to the BLO, assuming the work is complete. But the real challenge begins there.
The form isn't officially considered submitted until it's uploaded to the system. In many cases, there are delays in uploading, which directly impacts your name on the draft list. Therefore, it's crucial to check the status online so that no voter is left off the list due to errors or delays.
How to Check Whether Your Form Has Been Submitted
To check the status of the Special Intensive Revision form, you must visit the Election Commission's website: voters.eci.gov.in. First, you must open the portal and go to the Fill Enumeration Form section associated with SIR. Then, enter your mobile number or EPIC number to login. After receiving the OTP, you are logged into the system.
Here, you select your state and enter your EPIC number. If the BLO has uploaded the form, a message appears on the screen stating that your form has been submitted. If it hasn't been uploaded, the website displays a blank form, meaning your form is pending and you may need to resubmit it.
What if your form isn't showing as uploaded?
BLOs often upload forms in batches. Therefore, if the status doesn't appear immediately, it's wise to wait a little longer. If the system doesn't display any updates for several consecutive days, you can contact the concerned BLO directly. If you submitted the form online yourself and the status still appears blank, it's best to resubmit. If incorrect information or an incorrect status is displayed, inform the BLO immediately.
