New Delhi. Many Muslim intellectuals have united and raised their voice against Maulana Mahmood Madani, associated with Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind. These Muslim intellectuals include Maulana Omar Ahmed Elasi, head of All India Imam Organization, great-grandson of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and former Vice Chancellor Firoz Bakht Ahmed, renowned lawyer Professor Dr. Mohammad Tayyab, businessmen Iqbal Mohammad Malik and Mohammad Ahmed.

All of them have jointly made the letter public condemning the statements given by Maulana Mahmood Madani regarding Jihad and Supreme Court etc. Muslim intellectuals have said in a joint statement that Mahmood Madani’s statements are going to spoil the peaceful social condition of the country and spread hatred and riots. All of them have said that India is a country of saints with religion of harmony, Sufi and Bhakti movements. He should be established as Jagatguru. In the statement, Muslim intellectuals have said that the controversial statements of Maulana Arshad Madani and Mahmood Madani and the changing political situation are going to spread communal tension.
He has said that the Madani family is not representative of the Muslims of the country. The Muslims here consider India as Dar-ul-Aman i.e. the home of peace. Where all religions are respected. Maulana Mahmood Madani had recently said in Bhopal that decisions against Muslims are coming in the courts including the Supreme Court. For this reason it cannot be called the Supreme Court. He had said that Muslims are being hurt by calling them love jihad, land jihad and spit jihad. Those responsible in the government and media use these words without any shame. Mahmood Madani had also said that Muslims are wrongly accused. He had also said that whenever there is oppression, there will be jihad.
