Love Jihad has become a big issue in the country these days, on which political debate is also going on. Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta met the women affected by love jihad and heard their plight. The CM assured him of all possible protection. He said that love marriage is completely acceptable, but forced or fraudulent conversion under its guise will not be accepted under any circumstances.
On Sunday, a dialogue program based on the stories of women victims of love jihad was organized at the Constitution Club, in which Chief Minister Rekha Gupta participated. During the programme, women from different parts of the country shared their experiences and told how they became victims of deception in the name of trust, emotions and dreams for the future. During this, the CM assured that the government stands strongly with the women victims in such cases.
CM became emotional after meeting love jihad victims
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also became emotional in this program organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Arsh Vidya Samaj. He said that there are countless examples of love marriages in India, but India can never accept the cruelty of forcibly converting innocent girls by luring them into false love and then packing them in suitcases or fridges once they are done with them.
CM praised the courage of women
CM said that many victimized daughters have unhesitatingly exposed the layers of this disgusting and fundamentalist conspiracy growing in the name of Love Jihad. His courage, courage and sacrifice cannot be appreciated enough. The Chief Minister said that despite losing everything, she salutes their efforts to save other women of the society from this tragedy of Love Jihad.
Targeted at Congress government
The Chief Minister said that after the implementation of the Constitution made by Baba Saheb in independent India, when it was no longer possible to openly oppress Sanatani women, efforts continued to harass women and convert them under the guise of Love Jihad. His allegation was that during the period of Congress and Left governments, such elements continued to get a free hand, and criminals continued to bring darkness to the lives of millions of women by escaping from the law. He claimed that in the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, such conspiratorial elements will definitely reach their place as prescribed by law.
‘Parents will have to increase communication with their daughters’
The CM clearly said that any kind of exploitation, be it emotional or physical, is a serious crime and the government stands strongly with the victims in such cases. She said that being a mother and daughter, she is not just listening to the pain of these women, but also feels it deeply. He appealed to the families that in the changing times, parents and guardians have to increase communication and trust with their daughters, so that they can share their views without any fear. The CM also urged the society to collectively take the responsibility of ensuring a safe environment for daughters.
Expressing his gratitude to the organizers, the Chief Minister said that such dialogue programs show the mirror to the society and play an important role in determining the direction of change. He also said that to make Delhi a safe and sensitive capital, the government, society and family will have to take steps together.
