ATM Card New RuleIf you use ATM card then this news is very important for you. Reserve Bank of India has issued new guidelines to ATM which every customer should know. There are some charges imposed on ATM transactions and balance checking, which you should know about.
Under the new rule, banks will give a limited number of free ATM transactions to their customers every month and if you exceed the free limit, you will have to pay a fee on every additional transaction.
This new rule has been implemented in both non-metro and metro cities but different limits have been set for different cities. Along with this, charges have also been imposed on financial transactions like checking balance, withdrawing mini statement etc.
How much is the free transaction in which city?
You can do three free transactions at ATMs in metro cities.
In non-metro cities, you can do five free transactions from ATM.
You can do five free transactions in your bank’s ATM.
Increase in ATM charges
If you do more transactions than the free limit, you will have to pay a charge of Rs 23 per transaction. Earlier the charge was Rs 21 but now it has been increased. Now a limit has also been set for checking the balance and if you cross the limit for checking the balance, then you will have to pay.
If you want to withdraw money from ATM, then you should know about the guidelines issued by RBI. A small mistake can increase your difficulty.
