News India Live, Digital Desk: Weakness After Fever: The weather is changing and with it the danger of fever and viral infection remains in every house. Fever goes away in two-three days by taking medicine, but the real trouble starts after that. Has it happened to you too that the temperature becomes normal in the thermometer, but the body feels as if someone has squeezed it? I don’t feel like getting out of bed, my legs feel numb and the taste in my mouth is like bitter poison. Doctors call this ‘Post Viral Weakness’. If you or any member of your family is going through this ‘broken body’ feeling after fever, then do not panic. Our Ayurveda is no less than a miracle for this. Allopathy kills fever, but Ayurveda brings strength back to the body. Today we are going to tell you some very easy and home remedies which will remove the weakness after fever in a jiffy. 1. Miracle of raisins and figs: In fever, both the platelets and energy of our body get reduced. In such a situation, Munakka or black raisins are no less than a boon. Soak 5-6 raisins and 2 figs in water overnight. Drink their water in the morning on an empty stomach and chew raisins and figs. It will also increase blood and give instant energy to the body.2. Moong dal khichdi (light food) People often make the mistake of starting to eat bread, vegetables or heavy food as soon as the fever subsides. Ayurveda says that after fever, our ‘Digestive Fire’ i.e. digestive power becomes very weak. Therefore, eating heavy food increases fatigue instead of providing strength to the body. Eat thin moong dal khichdi or porridge for at least 3-4 days. It is easy to digest and provides protein to the body.3. Consumption of Giloy (Amrita)Giloy has been called ‘Amrita’ in Sanskrit, i.e. the one which never lets one die. If you are feeling tired again and again, then take Giloy decoction or Giloy juice with lukewarm water. This not only removes any residual weakness, but also ensures that the fever does not return.4. Basil and Ginger Tea: Say ‘tata-bye-bye’ to milk tea for a few days. Instead, make herbal tea by adding basil leaves, ginger, black pepper and jaggery. It clears the throat, removes phlegm and drives away lethargy.5. Most important: Water (Hydration) Fever dries up water from the body. Therefore, instead of drinking plain water, drink lukewarm water. It removes toxins from the body through sweat and urine, which makes you feel light.
