Held from Nov. 14 to 16 by Sunrise Events Vietnam in collaboration with the People’s Committee of An Giang Province and Title Partner BIM Group, the event showcased the sustained growth of triathlon in Vietnam.
More than 2,000 athletes from 60 countries and territories attended the race, while Vietnamese participants increased nearly 25% compared to 2024.

The 2025 edition marked the culminating event of the 10th anniversary of Ironman in Vietnam, a milestone that reflects the sport’s steady development and the enduring commitment of the athlete community.
In the male category, Kenshin Mizushima (Japan), the 2023 champion, reclaimed the overall title with a finishing time of 4 hours, 6 minutes, and 55 seconds, extending his winning streak following his victory at the 2025 Ironman 70.3 Da Nang. He also topped both the Male A-List and 18–24 Age Group divisions. He was followed by Alex Thio (Singapore) in second place with a time of 4 hours, 15 minutes, and 15 seconds, while Marcel van Oudtshoorn (Germany) secured third place with 4 hours, 22 minutes, and 20 seconds.
In the Female category, Ling Er Choo (Singapore) successfully defended her championship title, completing the race in 4 hours, 48 minutes, and 4 seconds, while also leading both the Female A-List and 35–39 Age Group divisions. Hannah Gibson (Australia) and Hanh Nguyen (Vietnam) completed the podium, finishing second and third with times of 4:49:54 and 4:50:32, respectively.
Mark Allen, six-time Ironman World Champion, made a surprising return to competition after nearly 30 years of retirement, joining the swim leg of the relay event. His appearance at Phu Quoc Marina became an iconic moment of the race, underscoring the event’s strong appeal and inspiring thousands of athletes in attendance.

Nguyen Thi Anh Vien, a 25-time SEA Games champion and two-time Olympian, marked an impressive comeback across two consecutive events. She and her teammate secured second place in the Mixed Relay category at the BIM Group Ironman 70.3 Phu Quoc. Her performance reflects the resilience and adaptability of one of Vietnam’s most distinguished athletes.
Also noteworthy were elite A-List athletes such as Kenshin Mizushima, Alex Thio, Ling Er Choo, Hannah Gibson, Hanh Nguyen, and Le Nhat Tai, all of whom brought extensive experience and strong competitive track records to the race. Their leading performances continued to elevate the technical standard of the event while promoting the Ironman spirit of pushing beyond limits, contributing to the dynamic growth of triathlon in Vietnam.
