Ticket Booking New Rule 2025: Indian Railways changes the rules of ticket booking from time to time. There is going to be a big change in the rules of Tatkal ticket booking from 1st December 2025. Western Railway has informed through a post that there will be a change in the Tatkal ticket booking system from December 1. Now you will not be able to book tickets without OTP verification.
Now Tatkal tickets will be booked through OTPOTP.
According to the information given by Western Railway, now Tatkal ticket booking can be done only after entering OTP. OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked to Aadhaar card and your ticket will be booked only after entering the OTP. Railways has requested the passengers to keep their mobile number available while booking tickets so that verification can be done through OTP.
Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railways, said that the OTP based Tatkal ticket authentication system will be implemented from midnight of December 1, 2025. First of all, it is going to be started with Shatabdi Express, after which this system will be implemented in other trains also.
New OTP system will be implemented for Tatkal ticket booking. If you do not have OTP number then you will not be able to book train ticket, hence whenever you book Tatkal ticket, keep the mobile number linked with Aadhar card from tomorrow.
