NIA raids Dr Shaheen’s house in Lucknow, family members are being interrogated

Lucknow | NIA team is continuously conducting raids in the case to Delhi blast case. In this series, Dr. Shaheen’s house in Lucknow was also raided. A raid is going on on a house built in Kandahari market. The NIA team that conducted the raid consists of eight people. NIA officials interrogated Dr. Shaheen’s brother and father. The team of Jammu Police and UP ATS had reached this house of Dr. Shaheen on 11 November.

Names of many doctors had surfaced in the white collar terror module and were arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police. Doctor Shaheen is also one of them. Shaheen has been made an accused in the blast near the Red Fort in Delhi. It was told by the investigating agencies that Shaheen wanted to recruit other women also for the blast.

What did Faridabad Police tell?

Faridabad Police sources said that Dr. Shaheen Saeed has revealed that he had planned to recruit women to carry out the terrorist act. Sources said the NIA had brought Shaheen, who is associated with Al-Falah University, to the university campus on Thursday for investigation and during questioning, she revealed that she had planned to recruit women to carry out the terrorist act. Police sources also said that NIA sleuths recovered Rs 18.5 lakh in cash, some gold biscuits and foreign currency from Shaheen’s hostel room in the university. Earlier this week, the investigating agency had brought Dr. Muzammil for identification, and soon the NIA may also bring Dr. Adil Ahmed to the university for identification.

Shaheen stayed in Saudi Arabia for four years

Muzammil and Adil Ahmed are the two other suspects arrested in connection with the Red Fort blast investigation. Sources also revealed that Shaheen had also lived in Saudi Arabia for four years. She worked as a professor at a medical college in Saudi Arabia from 2014 to 2018. During Shaheen’s interrogation on the campus, the NIA team took him to the medical ward, classroom and his room to gather details of his activities and contacts. A senior police officer said on Saturday that the agency has prepared a list of people with whom Shaheen had interacted. According to sources, the NIA team also took Shaheen to a chemical shop from where Dr. Muzammil had allegedly purchased material to make explosives. Sources said that after about four hours of investigation and interrogation, Shaheen was taken back to Delhi at around 9 pm.
