Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari met the public representatives and citizens from across the state at the Secretariat office on Monday. In this important meeting, not only a public hearing was held but also the development works of various areas were reviewed. The Deputy Chief Minister listened seriously to the problems of the public representatives and instructed the officials for quick solutions.

On this occasion, Minister of State Shri K.K. Vishnoi, Bhim MLA Shri Harisingh Rawat, BJP Barmer District President Shri Anantram Bishnoi and many public representatives were present. The objective of the meeting was to get accurate information about regional problems and ensure their timely solution.

Issues to various districts were discussed during the meeting. These mainly included-

• repair and construction of roads

• drinking water crisis

• expansion of health facilities

• Shortage of staff in schools

• improvement in irrigation system

• Need for administrative appointments

• Lack of basic facilities in rural areas

The Deputy Chief Minister listened carefully to the views of every public representative and gave clear instructions to the officials of the concerned departments to ensure immediate action on these issues.

Diya Kumari said that solving the problems of the people quickly is the top priority of the government. He instructed the officers to-

• All pending development works should be monitored.

• There should be no delay in tasks that can be completed immediately.

• Departmental coordination should be strengthened.

• Special teams should be formed to resolve complaints in a timely manner.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that public representatives are the voice of the public and swift action should be taken on their complaints.

Diya Kumari clearly said that communicating directly with the public and listening to their problems is the real identity of good governance. He said-

“Our government is committed to providing accountable and solution-oriented administration to the public. Every word of the public representatives is important. We will ensure solution to every problem.”

He indicated that such meetings will be organized regularly so that the problems of the people can be quickly understood and resolved.

Important issues to Bikaner, Barmer, Bhim and many other areas were raised in the meeting. There is lack of health facilities at some places, dilapidated roads at some places and problem of drinking water at some places.
Taking all these issues very seriously, the Deputy Chief Minister issued instructions to the officials for time bound action.

Describing the meeting as useful, public representatives said that the Deputy Chief Minister listened to every issue on priority and took concrete initiatives towards the solution.

BJP leaders also participated in the meeting and better coordination between the organization and the government was discussed. He said that the organization plays an important role in ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach the people on time.

Diya Kumari said-

“The objective of both the government and the organization is public service. Every worker and public representative should play their role honestly, this is the expectation of the government.”

He urged the public representatives to-

• Promote government schemes more in your areas

• Escalate problems to departments immediately

• Increase participation in making public aware

At the end of the meeting, all the public representatives appreciated the Deputy Chief Minister’s activism, sensitivity and commitment towards the public.
