Veteran actress and recent Bigg Boss 19 contestant Kunika Sadanand paid a heartfelt tribute to the late superstar Dharmendra, recalling her work with him and sharing a deeply personal story involving her mother.

Kunika, who expressed profound grief over the passing of the "legendary actor," highlighted his enduring charm and ability to connect across generations.

Kunika Sadanand confirmed that she had the privilege of working with Dharmendra in three films.

• Co-starring Role: She mentioned working with him in Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998), where she played the role of Mrs. Khanna (Suraj's stepmother), and that Dushman Devta (1991) was her last film with him, where she played Kamli. She also worked with him in Sachai Ki Taqat (1989) and Kaun Kare Kurbanie (1991).

• The Intimidation Factor: Despite working in multiple films with him, Kunika admitted that she and other newcomers were intimidated by his senior status. She recalled, "At that time, I and other newcomers were intimidated by him. He was a very senior actor, and we didn't dare sit next to him."

Kunika shared a touching memory demonstrating Dharmendra's genuine humility and warmth:

• Mother's Admiration: Kunika's mother was a self-proclaimed "crazy fan" of Dharmendra and would often accompany her to the set.

• The Request: Kunika timidly requested the senior actor, "Sir, could she spend some time with me?"

• The Kind Gesture: Dharmendra immediately put her mother at ease, telling her to sit down and have tea. Kunika noted that her mother's joy "knew no bounds" and she ended up chatting with the star for about half an hour, discussing everything from Mumbai to Punjab. This gesture highlights Dharmendra’s famous simplicity and sincere affection for his fans.

Kunika praised Dharmendra's artistic and personal qualities:

• Timeless Appeal: She noted his ability to easily connect with Gen Z, referencing his role in the recent film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

• Rooted & Modern: His endearing nature was a blend of his poetry, his active social media presence, and his ability to hold onto his roots while moving forward.

• The Final Wish: Kunika expressed her satisfaction that Dharmendra was able to witness the success of his son, Bobby Deol, before his passing, finding solace in the fact that he left the world peacefully.
