Ayurveda believes that taking Virdhaahar increases the chances of stomach disorders and if done for a long time then there is a risk of serious diseases in the body. It is said in Ayurveda that unhealthy food causes imbalance of Vata, Pitta and Kapha in the body. Milk is an important part of our diet. Milk should not be consumed with sour fruits. Citrus fruits contain acid and milk contains calcium and protein. Both of these together can cause stomach ache or gas problems. Milk should not be taken with fish, mint leaves, salt items, spicy fried foods, garlic, onion and jackfruit.
This habit has been observed in some people that they take milk with dinner. This habit is wrong. Milk should always be taken one hour before sleeping.
Now let’s talk about curd. Do not consume fried foods with curd. By doing this, there remains lethargy in the body and heaviness in the stomach. Consuming fish with curd weakens the digestive power of the stomach, consuming rice with curd makes the body feel heavy, beans with curd cause gas problems in the stomach, sour pickles with curd reduce the digestive fire, and heating curd is also harmful.
Now let’s talk about cold and hot food. Taking paratha with cold drink is like eating poison, it increases toxic substances in the stomach. Consuming ice cream along with food also weakens the digestion of food. Consuming cold drinks along with junk food causes sleepiness. Eating cold and sweet food after lunch increases laziness in the body and leads to sleep. These dangerous combinations weaken the digestive power of the body and cause constipation. Eat as light and lukewarm diet as possible. While taking curd and milk, be careful that they do not contain sour and spicy foods.
