The Life Insurance Corporation of India on Monday announced that Ramakrishnan Chander has been appointed as Managing Director of the corporation, with effect from December 1.
Prior to taking charge as managing director, Chander was the Executive Director (Investment – Front Office) & Chief Investment Officer of the corporation.
Ramakrishnan Chander joined the Corporation in the year 1990 as an Assistant Administrative Officer. He is a graduate and Fellow of Insurance Institute of India. He has an experience of 35 years both in Marketing and Administration handling position of Senior Divisional Manager, Regional Manager (Marketing) and Regional Manager (P&GS). He also led Corporation’s Strategic Business Unit – International Operations as Executive Director.
