US users report issues with OpenAI’s ChatGPT: Outages spike across major cities

Users across the United States reported widespread issues with ChatGPT and other OpenAI services on Monday, according to outage tracker Downdetector.
Reports surged from major metro areas including New York City, Bostonand Los Angeleswith nearly 90% of complaints specifically linked to ChatGPT. The issues affected both the mobile app and the web versionmaking the AI service inaccessible or slow for many users.
Despite the spike in outage reports, OpenAI’s official status page has not yet listed any disruptionsleaving users unclear about the cause or duration of the problem.
More updates are expected as OpenAI responds to the incident.
