Saras Aajeevika Food Festival inaugurated
Union Rural Development and Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the Saras Aajeevika Food Festival 2025 in New Delhi today. Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi was also present in this program.
Celebrating the infinite powers of women
On this occasion, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that Lakhpati Didis have written a new story of progress and prosperity with their hard work. He also said that women can move forward on the basis of their skills and hard work.
Prime Minister’s resolution for development
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment towards the development of women, Shivraj Singh said that the government is making continuous efforts in this direction so that no woman remains poor.

Cuisine from different states will be presented in the food festival. Shivraj said that Indian food has not only taste but also depth of culture and tradition.

This festival is an important platform to economically empower rural women and provide self-employment opportunities.
Festival information
In the food festival, women from 25 states are presenting more than 500 traditional dishes through 62 stalls. This festival will remain open till 9 December.

The festival features dishes from different states such as Himachali Seedu, Tandoor Chai of Uttarakhand, and Hyderabadi Dum Biryani.

Stalls of rural products are also set up in this food festival, which introduce the visitors to the rich traditions of rural India.
