North India due to cold wave, cold wreaks havoc from Delhi to UP-Bihar, schools and colleges closed in Tamil Nadu.

At the same time, the effect of cold has increased in other states of North India also. The cold has increased significantly in Uttar Pradesh. The temperature has suddenly dropped in many districts. People go out in fog in the morning, but the weather clears up during the day. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be severe cold in the morning and evening in UP for the next few days.

Cold wave havoc continues in Bihar

The effect of cold has increased in Bihar also. It is extremely cold here even in the beginning of December. In many areas there is dense fog in the morning and visibility becomes less than 500 meters. The Meteorological Department has said that the cold may increase further in Bihar in the coming days. There is a possibility of further drop in temperature.

Alert issued regarding cold in Jharkhand

In Jharkhand too, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for cold. The temperature may drop significantly in many areas of Jharkhand in the coming days. Cold wave like situation may occur from December 3. In Jharkhand on Monday, the minimum temperature was recorded above 10 degrees Celsius in most areas. The lowest temperature in Gumla was 10.3 degrees, while in the capital Ranchi it was 13.4 degrees. The Meteorological Department has warned that the cold may increase further.

The mercury dropped further in Himachal

It is extremely cold even in the hilly states. A warning of bad weather has been issued in Himachal Pradesh. Roads are becoming slippery due to heavy snowfall. The Meteorological Department said that there will be dense fog in Bilaspur on 2nd and 3rd December. There is a possibility of isolated light rain and snowfall in middle and high mountain areas on December 4 and 5. A new weak western disturbance may affect the western Himalayan regions on 5 December. The weather is expected to remain dry in Himachal till December 7.

Schools and colleges closed in Tamil Nadu on 2 December

Cyclonic storm Ditva in South India has caused huge damage in many states. Schools and colleges will remain closed in Chennai, Tiruvallur and Kanchipuram districts of Tamil Nadu on December 2. Officials said that due to heavy rains and waterlogging, leave has been granted for the safety of the students. The Meteorological Department has warned people to remain alert due to Ditva. Due to the storm formed near Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Chennai and Tiruvallur, which may continue till Tuesday morning.
