The Dream Sports MSSA Inter-School Hockey Tournament delivered a thrilling matchday across the Girls U-16, Boys U-16, and Boys U-14 categories.
A high-energy day across the GOANS, MSSA Ground, and WINGS venues saw dominant wins, gritty draws, and dramatic finishes at the Dream Sports MSSA Inter-School Football Tournament.
At GOANS, the U-14 Girls 2nd Division opened with St. Xavier’s (Shanti Park) receiving a default win over JBCN Int. (Chembur), followed by Rustomjee Camb. Int. (Dahisar) edging Podar Int. IB & Camb. (Santacruz) 1–0 through Saanvi Chitre. Thakur Public School (Kandivali) delivered one of the standout performances of the day with a commanding 3–0 win over Pawar Public School (Kandivali), courtesy a brilliant hattrick from Charvi Kothari.
The U-16 Boys 4th Division fixtures at the same venue saw Rustomjee Camb. secure third place with a 2–0 win over Universal H.S (Thane), via goals from Tirth Kaliwada and Khush Shah, before CNS (Kandivali) clinched the final in a tense tie-breaker after a 0–0 draw, winning 2–1 on penalties with conversions from Sakshum Madhani and Rudransh Sharma, while Deion Fernandes scored for Notre Dame (Vasai).
Over at the MSSA Ground, goals flowed freely in the U-12 Boys 4th Division. St. Aloysius (Gorai) dominated The New Activity (Peddar Road) with a 5–0 win led by Alric Zolar’s hattrick and Rick Aitholia’s brace, while Mainadevi Bajaj Int. (Malad) and JBCN Int. ‘A’ (Chembur) played out a 1–1 draw featuring an Ishaan Bahri own goal and a strike from Saransh Asrani. St. Gregorious (Chembur) edged Hiranandani Foundation (Powai) 1–0 through Shivin Rajput before R.N. Shah (Juhu) and later Fatima H.S (Vidya Vihar) were awarded default wins as SAFA H.S and Oxford Public (Kandivali) failed to report. CNS School (Kandivali) produced the day’s most explosive performance, overpowering Rustomjee Int. SSC (Dahisar) 7–0 with a four-goal haul from Kiaan Hora, a brace from Ayan Bindra, and a goal from Purab Dash. Podar Int. IB & Camb. (Santacruz) followed with a default win against St. Xavier’s (Goregaon), while D.G. Khetan (Malad) closed the venue’s action with a composed 2–0 victory over Diamond Jubilee (Mazgaon), courtesy Pratyush Singh.
At WINGS, the U-14 Boys 2nd Division delivered a series of tightly fought contests. Campion ‘B’ (Cooperage) and St. Gregorious (Chembur) played out a 1–1 draw with goals from Pranav Munshi and Dhruv Bhanushali, before Gundecha School (Kandivali) edged Army Public School (Colaba) 1–0 through Atharva Kapoor. St. Lawrence ‘B’ (Kandivali) defeated Swami Vivekanand ICSE (Kandivali) 2–1, supported by a Vihan Shirke strike and an own goal, while Yug Shah scored for SVIS.
A goalless draw followed between St. Stanislaus ‘B’ (Bandra) and St. Anthony H.S (Malwani), before Holy Cross Convent (Mira Road) earned a 2–1 win over St. Joseph (Wadala) through a superb brace from Efron Dsa and a response from Ferdinand Kezhate.
Podar Int. IB & Cam. (Santacruz) continued their steady form with a 1–0 win over Cambridge School (Kandivali) through Ayaan Parab, and St. Francis D’Assisi ‘A’ (Borivali) wrapped up the day with a solid 2–0 victory over St. Aloysius (Bandra), with goals from Alex Minj and Aryan Minj.
