When Virat Kohli reached his 52nd ODI century in the first game vs South Africa in Ranchi, none celebrated it more than Rohit Sharma. Rohit was spotted in the stands celebrating it rather animatedly and also hurling what possibly could have been expletives, albeit in an affectionate way as Kohli raised his bat to the crowd and his teammates.
What Did Rohit Sharma Say?Since then the internet has been wondering what Rohit said. Well, that speculation has come to an end. Or sort of. While Rohit was engaged in his animated celebration, Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh were both standing next to him. Now, Arshdeep has ‘revealed’ what Rohit said.

Arshdeep did not directly reveal what was said but he did twist it in an iconic way with the famous Indian meme ‘Mujhe Nadia pasand hai’. This gave the whole thing a hilarious twist and is bound to leave anyone in splits.
“I have been getting several messages on what Rohit bhai said after Virat bhai’s century. So, I am telling what he said. He said, ‘Neeli pari, laal pari, kamre mey band, mujhe Nadia pasand’," Arshdeep said on a Snapchat video that Punjab Kings then shared on Instagram.

Kohli made a brilliant 135 while Rohit hit 57. The duo put on 136 runs for the second wicket. During the course of his knock, Rohit became the highest-six hitter in ODIs while Kohli now has the most 100s in a single international format. India posted 349/8 thanks to their efforts and won the game by 17 runs to lead the three-match series 1-0.
How Long Will Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli Play?Rohit is 38 and has played for 18 years while Kohli is 37 and has been around for 17 years. Both are in great form and are making a strong case for themselves to be on the plane to South Africa for the 2027 ODI World Cup. Neither play any other format now so an ODI retirement will mean an international retirement. When that does happen, a big void shall be left in Indian cricket.
