Millet has always been known as a superfood. It's rich in fiber, which helps maintain a healthy digestive system and alleviates constipation. It also contains minerals like magnesium and potassium, which help regulate blood pressure. When this healthy bread is combined with ghee and jaggery to make churma, it becomes a perfect energy booster for winter. Let's learn its simple recipe without delay.

Ingredients for Making Bajra Churma
Ingredients (approximately)
Leftover millet rotis (3 to 4 medium-sized)
Desi ghee (3 to 4 tablespoons) (or to taste)
Jaggery (finely chopped) (half a cup) (or sugar, depending on your sweetness)
Cardamom powder (1/4 teaspoon) (optional)
Dried fruits (cashews, almonds) (finely chopped, optional)

Method for Making Bajra Churma
First, break the leftover millet rotis into small pieces.

Place these pieces in a mixer grinder and grind them coarsely. Make sure they are not a fine powder like flour, but rather slightly granular, giving the churma a nice texture.

Next, heat a pan or wok over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons of ghee and let it melt.

Once the ghee is hot, pour the ground roti mixture into the pan. Stir-fry over low heat for 3 to 4 minutes.

Fry until the moisture evaporates, a faint aroma develops, and the color changes slightly.

Then turn off the heat. (The mixture should remain hot.)

Now add finely chopped jaggery (or sugar) and cardamom powder to this hot mixture.

Mix the mixture well so that the jaggery melts with the heat and is completely mixed into the churma.

Finally, add chopped dry fruits (such as almonds, cashews) and mix.

Your delicious, nutritious millet roti churma is ready. Transfer it to a bowl and serve with 1-2 teaspoons of hot ghee on top.
