Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp have taken another bold step in India's fast-growing premium motorcycle market by revealing the all-new Harley-Davidson X440 T, which is a refreshed version of the popular X440. This new variant was unveiled on 2 December 2025, bringing a revised design and subtle feature changes, while keeping the core essence of the original motorcycle intact.
The biggest highlight of the X440 T is its redesigned rear section, as the earlier X440 had a noticeable gap between the rear wheel and the fender, which gave it a more open and rugged look. The new X440 T gets a tighter, cleaner and more compact tail design, making the motorcycle appear more premium and better proportioned.
This new rear profile of X440 T is expected to appeal to riders who love a sportier and more modern-looking motorbike. Harley-Davidson has also added bar-end mirrors and introduced four new colour options.
One of the most interesting observations from the first images of the X440 T is the possible move to a ride-by-wire throttle system. On the original X440, a thick throttle cable was clearly visible and it is something missing on the new model.
If Harley-Davidson has indeed added ride-by-wire technology, it could also introduce premium features like- riding modes, traction control and smoother throttle response. However, there is no sign of cruise control on the switchgear yet, which are the features seen on a few Hero motorcycles recently.
While Harley-Davidson and Hero have not revealed the technical specifications, the X440 T seems to continue using the same mechanical foundation as the standard X440. This likely includes the same frame, same single-cylinder engine, similar suspension setup, dual disc brakes and same wheel sizes.
The current X440 is priced between Rs 2.40 lakh and Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and once officially launched the X440 T is expected to fall in a similar price range.
The big question now is whether the X440 T will replace the original X440 or be sold alongside it. However Harley-Davidson has not confirmed this yet, but what is clear, though, is that the X440 T gives the company a refreshed product to keep up with rising competition in the 400cc segment.
