Great news for youth aiming for government positions in Gujarat! The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has unveiled the recruitment notification for the Veterinary Officer positions for 2025. This initiative aims to fill 70 Class-II Veterinary Officer roles. Interested candidates can apply online via the official GPSC website. Details of Positions and Category Reservations

The GPSC recruitment offers a total of 70 positions, with specific reservations for various categories. The breakdown is as follows: 33 posts for the General Category, 7 for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 18 for the Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC), 4 for the Scheduled Caste (SC), and 8 for the Scheduled Tribe (ST). Successful candidates will be assigned to different departments and veterinary hospitals across Gujarat.

Candidates must hold a BVSc & AH or BVSc/AH degree from a recognized Indian university, accredited by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI). Additionally, basic computer skills as per the Gujarat Civil Services Rules, 1967, and proficiency in Gujarati or Hindi are required. Selected individuals will also need to register with the Gujarat Veterinary Council or the Veterinary Council of India.

Age Relaxation Guidelines

Age relaxation is applicable for various candidate categories. Unreserved female candidates from Gujarat will receive a 5-year age extension. Female candidates from EWS, SEBC, SC, and ST categories may receive up to 10 years of relaxation, allowing a maximum age of 45 years. Ex-servicemen are entitled to an additional 3 years based on their military service.

Salary Structure

Candidates selected for these positions will earn a monthly salary ranging from ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400, classified under Pay Matrix Level 8, which is considered competitive for government roles.
