New Delhi: Reports of star India cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palaash Muchhal getting married on December 7 has taken social media by storm. Just weeks after their earlier wedding date of November 23 was pushed back. As the buzz grew online Smritis brother Shravan Mandhana stepped in and confirmed that these new rumours about a wedding date are completely false. I have no idea about these rumours. As of now it (the wedding) is still postponed he told us dismissing all the rumours about the new wedding date Wedding in Sangli was called off on the morning of the wedding The wedding in Sangli was called off on the morning of the wedding after Smritis father Shrinivas Mandhana faced a serious medical emergency and was rushed to the hospital. Shortly afterward Palaash was also hospitalized reportedly due to extreme stress from the situation and his emotional response to Smritis fathers condition. His mother later revealed that he received IV treatment and underwent several tests before being discharged. Although both families remained quiet the wedding postponement triggered widespread online speculation that went beyond the health emergency. Rumours of Palash cheating on Smriti started circulating after supposed screenshots of private conversations appeared on social media. The rumours escalated when fans noticed Smriti deleting her engagement posts including photos and the proposal video and removing social media tags related to Palaash. The online frenzy also targeted two choreographers involved in the wedding dance preparations. Both Nandika Dwivedi and Gulnaaz Khan strongly denied the claims calling them false damaging and completely baseless and urged people to stop spreading misinformation about private matters. Families asked the public not to make any assumptions Both families have consistently asked the public not to make assumptions. In an emotional statement Palaashs mother described the rumours as deeply unfair and stressed that the wedding was postponed out of care and respect for Smritis fathers health. She also shared that Palaash had suggested delaying the wedding even before the Mandhana family formally decided to do so. Amid all the controversy neither Smriti nor Palaash have publicly addressed the cheating rumours. Their only joint move so far appears to be a small update to their Instagram bios which now feature an evil-eye emoji likely intended as a subtle response to the negativity and speculation surrounding them.
