The trailer of the upcoming original series
Karma Korma , written and directed by Pratim D. Gupta , which will be streamed soon has been unveiled, offering a tantalising glimpse into a world where friendship, desire and deception blend into a volatile mix. Led by a compelling cast featuring Sohini Sarkar , Ritabhari Chakraborty and Ritwick Chakraborty , the series begins in the warmth of a kitchen but quickly spirals into far darker territory.
At the heart of the story are two women, Jhinuk (Sohini ) and Shahana (Ritabhari ), whose chance meeting at a cooking workshop sparks a bond that feels comforting on the surface but carries an undercurrent of secrets. What begins as companionship gradually thickens into a gripping narrative steeped in obsession, manipulation and emotional unrest .
Pratim brings his signature finesse to the slow-burn thriller, letting vulnerability and deceit simmer until the tension becomes almost unbearable. The arrival of Ritwick as Inspector Bhupen Bhaduri adds a new dimension, sharpening the edges of a plot woven with love, betrayal and retribution.
Visually, the trailer is rich with mood: shadow-soaked kitchens, lingering glances and hands moving carefully around simmering pots—each frame layered with unease. The key visual, featuring Jhinuk and Shahana under a single umbrella on a rain-soaked Kolkata night, captures a relationship weighed down by unspoken truths.
Bold, flavourful and unsettling,
Karma Korma promises a story where emotions simmer, trust falters and karma is served with quiet but devastating precision.
