PepsiCo on Tuesday said it has signed a global partnership with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team beginning 2026 for three of its power brands Gatorade, Sting and Doritos.

“This multi-year partnership builds on PepsiCo’s existing Formula 1 relationship and marks the first time that three brands will partner with an F1 team,” the beverages and snacks maker said in a statement.

The company said the deal “would position PepsiCo with the sport’s global momentum through comprehensive integration” programmes.

“This partnership unites performance, energy and flavour under one banner,” Eugene Willemsen, chief executive officer, International Beverages at PepsiCo, said as part of the statement.

In September, PepsiCo’s global chairman and chief executive Ramon Laguarta had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, a development seen as underscoring the company's growing strategic importance in India. This was also the first meeting between the PepsiCo leadership and the PM in India.

India has been identified as one of PepsiCo’s 13 core global anchor markets, which the New York company expects will contribute to over 85% to its future growth.

For the 12-month to 31 December 2024, PepsiCo India had reported revenue of Rs 8,877 crore and profit after tax of Rs 883.4 crore, according to its regulatory filings. The company had said these numbers are not comparable to the previous year, since it switched its reporting calendar from the financial year (April-March) to the calendar year. The previous filing was for the nine-month period between April 2023 to December 2024, when the company reported consolidated revenue of Rs 5,954.16 crore and profit of Rs 217.26 crore.
