Fans are not happy with Dillon Brooks. The Phoenix Suns star took a shot at LeBron James after a win over the Los Angeles Lakers . Brooks, who likes to portray himself as the villain, continued playing the part even after the game. During a post-game interview with ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, the player made a remark that was not well-received by the fans. The remark was made against the Lakers' star LeBron James. As the comment went viral, fans got defensive and bashed the Suns’ star, referring to his performance in the last season.

Brooks stated that LeBron liked people who bowed down to him. Brooks is not one of them. He claimed that he doesn’t bow down to anyone. What made the statement generate more backlash was the player’s taunting of LeBron throughout the game. Brooks mimicked some of LeBron’s iconic celebrations with the intention of getting under the Lakers’ star’s skin. The Suns’ star racked up 33 points, leading the team to its victory.

After the game, Dillon Brooks continued his streak of throwing taunts at LeBron James. In an interview with ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, Brooks talked about how it felt playing in the Crypto.com Arena. Adding to this, he further stated how he looked at himself as a competitor and he wants to let everyone know that he is here to win. However, it was his statement on the Los Angeles Lakers’ star that caught everyone’s attention. When asked if his trash talk during the game had any effect on LeBron, Brooks promptly replied, “He likes people that bow down. I don’t bow down. So, that either entices him or it aggravates him — either-or.”


This generated instant reactions from the fans. Most of it was against the Suns' star. One of the fans with the username newlightvisuals wrote, “‘I don’t bow down’… brother, you barely stayed on your feet last series.” This was a reference to the previous season when Brooks was still with the Houston Rockets.

Another fan with the username Havocc added, “If Brooks played in LeBrons prime this would be a whole diff answer LMAO.”

A third fan with the username JohnnyWaybe01 even referred to the playoffs of 2023 between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Lakers. The fan commented, “Ur mouth didn’t work after that Memphis series.”

A fourth fan with the username AJGrant added, “LeBron has beaten his teams twice as many times doubt he cares lol”

Fans get further defensive as another one with the username trevor_law51095 stated, “You played a 40 year old washed Bron lmao. You wouldn’t be able to even walk if you played 2012-2018 lebron”


LeBron James’ fanbase has once again proved that anyone who gets at the Lakers star will have to face his fans’ rage. The rivalry between LeBron and Brooks is not a new one. The Suns star took it to a whole new level with the taunts and the post-game comment.
