New Delhi: The Indian governments Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has issued guidelines for all companies stating that smartphones sold in India must install the cyber safety app Sanchar Saathi. However Apple intends to discuss these guidelines with the government and is not in favour of accepting this decision according to Reuters. People Have Raised Privacy Concerns Reuters reported that Apple does not plan to comply with this government directive. The company will inform the central government about this. Following this government decision many people have raised privacy concerns. The Indian government has issued guidelines for smartphone manufacturing companies and importing brands in the country. The guidelines state that smartphones in India will now be required to install the cyber safety app Sanchar Saathi. Apple Does Not Follow Any Such Orders In The World Apple is not in favour of following these guidelines of the Indian government and is planning to discuss them with the government. The company will inform the government that it does not comply with any such orders anywhere in the world. This will impact the companys ecosystem. This information has been received from sources. Must Comply Within 90 Days The government has given 90 days to comply with this rule and after 120 days all companies will have to submit their report. Phones that have been manufactured and are in sales channels will be installed with this app via software update (OTA).
