New Delhi: Meta launches new Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses in India, now payments can also be done through glasses, Facebook’s parent company Meta has officially introduced its second generation Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses in India. This new model is much more advanced than the first version, in which the company has significantly upgraded the video capture quality, battery performance and AI capabilities.

These smart glasses have been designed not just as fashion or gadget, but as a smart wearable device. These glasses, which come with camera and speakers, will soon include the facility of UPI Lite payment, through which users will be able to make payment by just wearing the glasses and seeing the QR code.

How will ‘Scan and Pay’ happen with smart glasses?

According to the company, UPI Lite integration will be added to these glasses in the coming days. After this, users will just have to look at the QR code and give the command: Hey Meta, Scan and Pay and the payment will be processed immediately.

Bank account will be linked to WhatsApp UPI

To use this feature, the user will have to link his bank account with WhatsApp UPI. Meta will share more information to this feature soon.

Hindi support also included in Meta AI

Meta AI in these glasses has been made smarter and faster than before. Users just say: Hey Meta, and they’ll get an instant response. Keeping in mind the Indian users, the company has also added full Hindi support, making it very easy to control the device in Hindi.

Celebrity AI Voice Experience

Under the new feature of Meta AI, users can interact with their favorite celebrity voices. Deepika Padukone’s voice has been made available for this in India.
