Will the health sector improve further?

Separate counters and priority services will also be established for senior citizens in government hospitals, eliminating the hassle of waiting in long queues.
Will travel and religious pilgrimages become easier?
From now on, senior citizens will receive a 30% to 50% discount on railway and bus fares. Additionally, financial assistance and special concessions will be provided under religious and pilgrimage schemes, allowing seniors to travel without financial burden.
Will pension and banking services become more robust?
The National Old Age Pension Scheme (NAPS) has now increased pensions from ₹3,000 to ₹5,000. Savings schemes, such as SCSS and FDs, have also been improved, with better interest rates. TDS will now be waived on interest up to ₹1 lakh. Senior citizen counters have been introduced in banking. Home banking will also be available for seniors aged 70 and over or with disabilities.
Will legal and social security be provided?
Seniors can now access free legal consultations in property, pension, or fraud cases. Under the Senior Citizens' Honor Campaign, seniors will be informed about their rights and government schemes. Strict and prompt action will be taken against abuse.
Will rural seniors also receive benefits?
Yes, telemedicine services will be launched in rural areas, allowing them to consult with a specialist doctor from the comfort of their homes. Services like home care and wellness checkups are also available for seniors living alone.
Will the new Senior Citizen Card help?
