Average monthly salary data.
India's income map is changing rapidly. A post by RPG Group Chairman Harsh Goenka on which state earns the most in the country and where people's income is still low has started a vigorous discussion on social media. While sharing the data of state-wise average monthly salary, he said that India will become prosperous only when the income of every Indian increases, especially those at the bottom.
Who earns the most?
According to the latest data from Forbes Advisor India shared by Harsh Goenka, India's average monthly earnings will reach Rs 28,000 in the year 2025. But if we talk about states, the country's capital Delhi is at the top where the average monthly salary is Rs 35,000. Karnataka is at second place, where the average salary is ₹ 33,000 per month. Bengaluru's IT sector, startup hub and abundance of tech companies have created better employment opportunities and higher salaries here.
After this comes Maharashtra at ₹ 32,000 and Telangana at ₹ 31,000. Mumbai's business activity and Hyderabad's IT boom are pulling up the average income of these states.
India will only be truly prosperous when the average Indian is prosperous. This map says it all-Maharashtra tops at ₹32,000, Bihar is last at ₹13,500. Our real mission must be one: lift the bottom layer, raise the average, grow together. pic.twitter.com/n2tJpA0AeB

bad conditions of bihar
India's lowest average monthly income has been recorded in Bihar which is only ₹13,500 per month. After this is the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar (₹ 13,000). Nagaland (₹14,000) and Mizoram also have low average monthly income. Due to limited employment, small industries and less investment in these areas, the average income of the people is much lower as compared to other states.
South India is the strongest
South India is traditionally considered ahead in both employment and income. Apart from Karnataka, the average monthly salary in Tamil Nadu is ₹ 29,000, in Andhra Pradesh ₹ 26,000 and in Kerala ₹ 24,500. These figures show that South India continues to be strong in terms of opportunities and salaries.
