King Kohli’s ‘Virat form’ continues, India gave target of 359 runs to South Africa

Raipur. India has set a target of 359 runs for South Africa, thanks to the half-century innings of captain KL Rahul after the centuries of Virat Kohli and Ruturaj Gaikwad. South Africa won the toss in this match and decided to bowl first. India scored 358 runs for five wickets in 50 overs on the back of Gaikwad’s 105, Kohli’s 102 and Rahul’s unbeaten 66 runs. Kohli scored his second consecutive century in the current series.

Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal were out cheaply for India, but Kohli and Rituraj made a comeback for India by making a partnership of 195 runs for the third wicket. Rituraj scored the first century of his ODI career and after this Kohli also scored the 53rd century of his ODI career. Both the batsmen could not stay on the crease for long after scoring centuries. After this, KL Rahul and Jadeja batted strongly in the last overs due to which India’s score crossed 350. Jadeja remained unbeaten after scoring 24 runs. For South Africa, Marco Jansen took two wickets, while Nandra Berger and Lungi Ngidi got one wicket each.
