Need for contribution in plays
- Anand Singh Bhati expressing concern over the lack of Hindi plays
Faridabad, Ballabhgarh. There is a need for theater artists to contribute to original Hindi plays, because at present there is a decline in the creation of new plays. Professor and theater director Anand Singh Bhati shared his views in a seminar on this topic. This program was organized under the 4th Haryana Rang Utsav Jyoti Sang Smriti Natya Samaroh at a private college, Milk Plant Road, Ballabhgarh.
It is important to include social problems in plays.
Theater students of the city and MA Hindi literature students participated in this seminar. The speakers presented their views on the challenges of original Hindi plays in the 21st century. Usha Sharma said that it is mandatory to include the rapidly changing problems of the society in plays. Today, there is more demand for old plays, which highlight the problems of that time, like Aadha Adhure, Cow Hatiya, Gaban etc.
Manoj said that it has now become difficult to understand the challenges of original Hindi plays. Puneet Kaushal from National School of Drama Varanasi threw light on classical movement in the theater workshop. He said that earlier in the villages, artists were easily available for Ramlila, farce, nautanki etc.
Nowadays the shortage of artists is being felt. On this occasion, Hindi literature experts Usha Sharma, Manoj Kumar, theater artist Anand Singh Bhati and Punit Kaushal shared their views.
