New Delhi: Two colleges affiliated with Delhi University (DU) — Ramjas College (North Campus) and Desh Bandhu College (Kalkaji) — received bomb threat emails, prompting immediate response from authorities.
Law-enforcement agencies, including a bomb disposal squad and the Delhi Police, rushed to both campuses as a precautionary measure.
After a thorough sweep of the premises, officials confirmed that no suspicious objects or devices were found at either location. Investigations into the origin and motive behind the threat email are underway.
This is the latest in a series of similar incidents: in recent months, multiple DU colleges and Delhi-NCR schools have received bomb threats — all of which turned out to be hoaxes following police searches.
Authorities have urged students, staff and the public to remain calm and to report any suspicious communications to law-enforcement agencies immediately.
