World Cup winner Rohit Sharma and star batsman Tilak Verma showed the first glimpse of the new jersey along with BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia and an Adidas official. The T20 World Cup will be played in February 2026 to be hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

20. Team India’s jersey for the World Cup 2026 is dark blue. The jersey has orange color on the sides. At the same time, there is the flag of India i.e. tricolor on the collar of this jersey. There are also white stripes on the shoulders and blue stripes on the jersey.

T20 World Cup schedule

The matches of T20 World Cup 2026 will start from 7 February. India and Sri Lanka will host the T20 World Cup. That means all the matches will be held in India and Sri Lanka only. The Indian team will play its first match under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav on 7 February. India will start its campaign in the tournament by playing a match against America at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The final match of this World Cup will be held on March 8.

According to the World Cup schedule, India will play 4 matches. After the first match on 7 February, India’s second match will be against Namibia on 12 February. After this, the third match will be held between India and Pakistan on 15 February. After this, the last match will be between India and Netherlands on 18 February.

20 teams will play in four groups

The 20 teams playing in the T20 World Cup have been divided into 4 groups. 5-5 teams have been divided into each group. This year, India and Pakistan have also been placed in the same team in the World Cup.

group b – Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Oman
group c – England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Italy, Nepal
group d – New Zealand, South Africa, Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates, Canada
