DRDO’s Max! Successful Test of Indigenous ‘Air Defense System’, IADWS Shows Prowess Off Odisha Coast
DRDO’s Fighter Jet Escape successfully tested
India currently has this Martin-Baker escape system in Ladhav aircraft. But due to the successful testing of this indigenous system of India, India’s self-reliant India policy has gained a new momentum. The system was tested by DRDO’s Terminal Ballistic Research Laboratory in Chandigarh yesterday. The test was conducted at a speed of 800 km per hour. This time canopy severance ejection sequencing and aircrew recovery verification has been done correctly.
Most importantly, this successful test will make the system vital for India’s advanced fighter jets such as the Tejas fighter jet and the AMCA. This indigenous ejection system will reduce India’s dependence on foreign technology in the future. Also, this system will be more reliable to save pilot’s life in battlefield and emergency situations.

He termed this achievement as a big step for India’s self-reliant defense sector. DRDO Chairman Dr. Sameer V. Kamat also congratulated the entire team. At present, countries such as America, Russia, and France have the capability of such high-speed dynamic ejection. Now the name of India has also been added to this category.
