UP Police Recruitment 2025: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced a new recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Operator in the UP Police Radio Department. According to a notification issued by the Board on December 3, 2025, a total of 44 vacancies will be filled for this position. The application process for candidates began on December 3, 2025, and online forms can be filled out until January 2, 2026.

A total of 44 positions will be filled under this recruitment drive, including 20 positions for the Unreserved (UR) category, 4 positions for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 11 positions for the Other Backward Classes (OBC), 11 positions for the Non-Creamy Layer, 9 positions for the Scheduled Castes (SC), and no positions for the Scheduled Tribes (ST).

Eligibility for Application
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Intermediate (10+2) examination with Physics and Mathematics as subjects from a duly recognized board in India, or an equivalent examination recognized by the government.

Age Limit: Candidates for the UP Police Assistant Operator position must be between 18 and 22 years of age as of July 1, 2025. That is, birth dates before 1.7.2003 and after 1.7.2007 are prohibited. However, as per Uttar Pradesh government rules, candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), ex-servicemen, and certain other categories will be exempted from the upper age limit.

How much is the application fee?
To apply, candidates must pay a non-refundable application fee according to their category. The application fee for General, EWS, and OBC category candidates is ₹500, while for SC and ST category candidates, the fee is ₹400.

Selection Process
The first stage of the selection process is a written examination, which will be an OMR-based objective test, consisting of 160 questions and a duration of 150 minutes. The exam will carry a total of 400 marks, and the merit list will be prepared based on this.

The second stage will be document verification and the Physical Standard Test (PST), which will include verification of original certificates and measurement of height, chest (male), and weight (female).

The final stage is the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), in which candidates will be required to complete the prescribed qualifying race and other physical criteria. Only successful candidates in this stage will be included in the final selection.
