In Navadwip town, Nadia district, a newborn was lying outside the bathroom of a railway colony, alone in the bitter cold of the night. Then a pack of dogs arrived. What happened next is being discussed.

While there's talk of banning stray dogs, stray dogs in West Bengal saved a child's life. In Navadwip town, Nadia district, a newborn was lying outside a bathroom in a railway colony late at night. A pack of dogs arrived and formed a circle around the child. Strange as it may sound, locals say the dogs stood quietly around the child, seemingly guarding him to protect him.

According to report, the newborn was abandoned minutes after delivery. The blood on the newborn's body had not even been cleaned. Sukla Mandal, a resident of the railway colony, described the incident with her eyewitness account,

When we woke up, what we saw was absolutely horrifying. The dogs were standing in a circle around the child. But they weren't aggressive at all… they were alert. It seemed as if they understood the child was fighting for his life.

We heard a child crying at dawn. We thought someone's child was sick. But we never imagined a child lying outside being guarded by dogs

Sukla was the first to see the child. She slowly approached him, wrapped him in her scarf, and called neighbors for help. The child was first taken to Maheshganj Hospital, and from there, to Krishnanagar Sadar Hospital. The child is now healthy.

According to the report, the police were informed of the incident, and action was taken. Doctors confirmed that the child was not injured. Police believe a local may have left the child there. However, the matter is under investigation.
